Iceland’s Volcanic Landscapes…***EXCLUSIVE*** FIMMVORDUHALS, ICELAND – UNDATED: Volcanic eruption on the Fimmvruhls mountain pass, with Aurora Borealis display in the sky behind. MAGMA and northern lights pictured in one shot could be natures most spectacular sight. A British photographer has captured the rare and beautiful aurora borealis shining brightly over an erupting volcano. Twenty five-year-old James Appleton from Cambridge, has spent the past seven years capturing the volatile yet stunning landscapes of Iceland. Working alongside volcanologists and willing to get within a few hundred feet of an erupting volcano, James was willing to put himself in the firing line to get the perfect shot.
